The Much-Awaited Announcement
Alexa and Carlos PenaVega, well-known for their on-screen presence in Hallmark movies, have shared joyous news with their fans. They are expecting their fourth child. In their words, “Thank God we love adventures.” This heartwarming news was announced by the couple on Instagram where they uploaded a set of adorable pictures. In these images, Alexa was seen flaunting her baby bump while draped in a glittery pink jumpsuit. Carlos, one of the members from Big Time Rush, couldn’t contain his excitement – he was seen smiling happily at the camera, placing a hand on Alexa’s burgeoning tummy, and showing the number four with his fingers.
Life as the PenaVegas
The PenaVegas already have three children in their family: Ocean King who was born in December 2016, Kingston James born in June 2019, and their little princess, Rio Rey who joined the family in 2021. In a subsequent Instagram story, Alexa, widely recognized for her role in Spy Kids, shared a sneak peek into her shopping spree for the soon-to-arrive fourth member at Babylist. Rio accompanied her on this shopping trip. When Alexa inquired about Rio’s feelings regarding the new addition to their family, she responded enthusiastically with a “Ya!”
Alexa and Carlos became a couple in 2014, following a beautiful ceremony in Mexico. Following their wedding, the couple decided to merge their surnames. The story behind this decision unfolded when they were promoting their Hallmark film, “Love At Sea,” on Mario Lopez’s radio show “On With Mario.” Carlos, of Dominican and Spanish descent, along with Alexa, who’s Columbian, explained that the idea came about during their license registration at Ventura Country. According to Carlos, this place offered them flexibility with their name choices, following which they had a discussion and chose PenaVega as their joined surname.
