Guess what? Ally Maki’s about to dive into the world of motherhood. Yep, the star from “The Big Door Prize” just spilled the beans that she and her beau, Travis Atreo, are expecting their first kiddo. “Can’t hide this baby bump any longer,” she practically sings.
In a heart-to-heart with PEOPLE, Ally couldn’t help but let it all out. “I’m popping, guys, and it’s high time everyone knew,” she confessed. “I mean, why hide? I’m all for flaunting this bump with pride!” Turns out, she’s cruising through her second trimester. And boy, oh boy, has it been a ride. “Pregnancy’s thrown me some curveballs, for sure. It’s this beautiful chaos I never saw coming,” she mused. Tests upon tests, she didn’t see that coming. “But hey, it’s kinda liberating,” Ally admits, “Letting go and letting be.” And just before you think the interview couldn’t get any sweeter, she drops the gender reveal. “We’re over the moon for our little girl.”
Swipe through Ally’s Insta, and you’ll catch the love story of her and Travis. Six years of dating, then boom, a proposal post-“Toy Story 4” premiere. Ally, by the way, voiced Giggles in the flick. Fast forward through a pandemic, and the couple’s baby talks took a serious turn when Ally was hit with a diagnosis of Grave’s disease. “Talk about a gut punch,” she shared. “There we were, ready to start our family, and suddenly we’re on pause for a year and a half.” But they weathered that storm.
Then, in a twist straight out of a movie, Ally’s thyroid levels went haywire. Tears, confusion, and a dreaded WebMD consultation later, she wondered, “Could it be…?” And yep, a pregnancy test turned their world from worry to wonder in mere minutes. “From zero to a hundred, just like that,” she laughed.
